Green Guardians: Artists Standing Strong for the Verde River

April 26 - July 12

NHI Art Gallery Presents

Green Guardians
Artists Standing Strong for the Verde River

April 26, 2024 – July 12, 2024

Embark on a journey with the Natural History Institute to protect the Upper Verde River. The Green Guardians exhibition showcases a diverse array of artworks, each a visual manifesto in support of the federal designation of the Upper Verde River as a Wild and Scenic River. Through paintings, sculptures, and other installations, artists lend their voices to the chorus, calling for responsible conservation measures. Immerse yourself in the details of life on the riverbanks, feel the rhythm of the flowing waters, and experience the rich cultural heritage tied to this vital waterway. Green Guardians is more than an art exhibition; it is a collective call to action, urging us to appreciate, protect, and advocate for the Upper Verde River’s designation as a Wild and Scenic River. This exhibition aims to bring together influential voices in the realms of art, conservation, and policy.
