Ways To Give
Your donations support our capacity to connect people with nature and each other.
Please review the options below to see what the best fit is for you.
Monetary Gifts
Gifts by cash, check, credit or debit card are the easiest ways to donate to the Natural History Institute. You can also schedule recurring donations through our website where monthly or annual donations are automatically transferred from your account.
Individual & Business Partnerships
We are grateful for the many businesses that partner with us. Indiviuals or businesses can choose to sponsor our publications, workshops, visiting artists/scientists, our speaker series or other activities. Benefits include public recognition in printed and electronic materials, acknowledgement at public events and more.
Appreciated Securities
Giving an outright gift of appreciated securities to the Natural History Institute, you receive the same income tax savings that you would if you wrote us a check, but with the added benefit of eliminating capital gains taxes on the transfer.
IRA Charitable Rollovers
A Special Opportunity for Those 70½ Years Old and Older
Required Minimum Distribution
You can give any amount (up to a maximum of $100,000) per year from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as the Natural History Institute without having to pay income taxes on the donation.
Double Your Impact
Many employers will match your donation dollar for dollar, so check with your Human Resources department for this option.
Gifts of Tangible Property
Giving gifts of tangible property such as real estate, specific equipment, or items that we need is always welcome.
